About the Position:

This role has different responsibilities across the life cycle of our customers. As a first role, The Risk & Analytics Director will help acquire new customers, will help the Account Manager serve the client, and will be a key component for renewing customers. In addition to this role, the Director will work as part of a team that builds and deliver analytics practices to customers.


Risk Practices

Pre Sales:

During the sales process, perform a technical discovery with bank’s analytics, risk and IT teams to define their product requirements. Assisting sales translating client goals and objectives into features required and services scope.

Explain complex analytics topics to sales prospects, with a particular focus on leveraging results to give prospects confidence in our products.

Serve as primary bridge to transition from pre- to post-sales.

Building and delivering successful business cases and KPI's definitions considering the desired use case.

Product Definition: Working with sales to define what standard offering will be part of the engagement and what additional services will need to be scoped to have a successful implementation.

Model Management:

Define, along with the Data Science team models to be implemented

Perform regular model and portfolio performance reviews

Propose strategy and model changes / upgrades when needed

Validate that ready to implement models are in line with client expectations

Client Servicing:

Work closely with bank’s Risk/Analytics team to determine use of the tool in their credit policy. and develop partners on how they can measure and understand what success will look like.

Monitor the results obtained after the implementation as defined during the pre sales process.

Develop and present compelling presentations to highlight the impact of our products, roll out new models and perform ad-hoc analysis of client’s policies and portfolio.

Build and field-test new and innovative ways to present analytics solutions. Build quantitative tools to demonstrate value added

Continuously engage with clients to generate Upsells / Cross Sell depending on business needs

Provide support for renewal negotiations. Provide reporting on KPIs and business cases.

Analytics Practices


Scoping: working with sales lead to translate client goals and objectives into features required and services scope.


Establish and implement the risk frameworks required to deploy our products including process development, design of scorecards or implementation of new scoring systems.

Design and deliver analytics solutions according to the agreement during the scoping phase.

Product Development:

Serve as the technical lead to develop new products and be the “eyes and ears” on the ground to manage and iterate on the rollouts of new initiatives along with the Product Team.

Research new non-traditional sources of data to include in any of our products. Look for new use cases with our clients and work to the Product team to develop and deliver a new solution.

Practices Development:

Work with clients and the Product team to constantly look for opportunities to develop new services and align them to the Roadmap.

Collaborate to create product definitions, and build all required tools to maintain them.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, statistics and/or mathematics

8+ years experience in credit risk management

In depth understanding of operational, legal, and credit risk in developing countries

Strong ability to present complex topics in easy to understand ways. Proven capability to translate concepts to workable processes and systems and presenting to senior risk officers

Deep fundamental understanding in the technical aspects, monitoring and evaluation techniques, and the challenges associated with traditional credit scoring

Proven experience dealing with credit scoring implementations, credit policy design and credit risk management frameworks.

Data – strong excel skills and ability to use statistical modeling tools

Experience working and succeeding in developing country environments.

Complete fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters or PhD in a quantitative oriented field of study, including Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Physical Sciences, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent

Experience leading and managing pre-sales engineer, solutions architect, or technical consultant teams.

Experience in capital adequacy frameworks and provisions.

Experience managing end-to-end research and development processes, preferably in behavioral science and/or predictive analytics.
