Position Summary

The Sales Assistant provides dedicated support to our Enterprise and Small Business sales teams. The Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting client relationships, client follow up to facilitate on-boarding and ensuring Omise and the prospects are aligned on a path towards commercial finalization and technical integration.

The right candidate will have experience in a sales, business development or customer relationship role. The Sales Assistant will preferably have experience in eCommerce, ERP, and/or payment processing industries. This role requires very good interpersonal skills, ability to influence and persuade clients to follow through on next steps, and is a very important part of our great sales team. The Sales Assistant position will report into the Business Development Japan

Qualifications & Experience

3-5 years sales, business development, or customer relationship

Oriented mindset and must have great ability to develop personal connections and build relationships.

Industry experience in Finance, Banking Operations, or SaaS companies required.

Payment and/or acquiring experience strongly preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills / ability to work across a regional/global customer base.

Should be comfortable speaking and presenting in front of senior level executives.

Must be proficient in one or more office productivity suite products (MS Excel,Word, PPT, Keynote, Pages, etc.).

Should have experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)

Must enjoy working in a fast paced, start up environment where you will make a significant contribution to our success!


Native Japanese speaker, with good written and spoken English.

Knowledgeable user on sales CRM solutions.

Must demonstrate ability to: follow through, coordinate projects, be detail oriented and support complex sales engagements, and be proficient at aligning multiple customer and internal stakeholders.
