Payroll Executive at Funding Societies
Singapore

As the Payroll Executive, you will be a member of a high-performing regional Talent team. You will be based in Singapore, working cross-functionally across SEA, especially with Indonesia and Malaysia but also with Vietnam. The right candidate for this position will be an individual who is highly analytical, pays attention to detail, and has the ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely, accurate and independent manner.

 

Job Description

  •  Work closely with payroll vendor on a full range of recurring and non-recurring payroll activities such as: generating reports; and reviewing and validating overtime, monthly salary, incentive, bonus, and any other customized components in each country 
  • Perform work and other employee services according to strict processing schedules in order to meet the service level agreements

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing across the company including, benefits, taxation, proration and other deductions compliant with manpower regulation in countries we operate

  • Perform ad hoc pay audits

  • Validate employee debt related to overpayments and overuse of leave

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (Human Capital, Finance, Sales) to correct payroll errors including but not limited to balance adjustment. And manual checking of over/underpayments and quarterly amendments.

  • Apply best practices for payroll processing; stay abreast of changes. Critically review and analyze current payroll practices and procedures in order to recommend and implement positive changes and solutions. Update and maintain Payroll Standard Operating Procedures accordingly

  • Develop reports for monthly, quarterly and annual dashboards. Prepare various government-regulated reports and surveys

  • Maintain well documented and well-organized payroll records.

  • Reconcile benefit vendor invoices and payroll deduction reports.

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience with specific experience in payroll required

  • Familiarity with payroll systems and/or other HRIS

  • Thorough and up-to-date working knowledge of all countries and local labour laws

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters in a professional manner

  • Must be highly analytical, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely, accurate and independent manner

  • Solid accounting, mathematical reasoning, and deduction skills

  • Proficiency in Excel for analytics

  • Some experience in benefits administration with programs such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
